Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s
record of most hat-tricks in the Champions League after his treble
against Celtic on Tuesday night.
Messi has now scored the most hat-tricks in Champions League history
following Barca 7-0 mauling of Celtic to take the outright lead in his
head-to-head battle with Ronaldo.
Following a wonderful performance by his side, Barcelona coach Luis
Enrique was full of praise for the Argentine, he said: “Messi’s the best
player in the world, at whatever position he plays, Messi is total
football.”
However, Cristiano Ronaldo has the opportunity to respond when Real
Madrid face, his former side Sporting Lisbon in their champions League
